Johnny Bender Biography
The rock band Johnny Bender is a unique band that utilizes a well thought out music catalogue to keep their fans rocking all night long. Variety is a key element with the band and it shows with their diverse set list. Three of the four members of Johnny Bender share lead vocals throughout the night and their repertoire consists of everything from Pink Floyd to Metallica.
Johnny Bender consists of the following well seasoned musicians from the Central
New York area:
Tim Stevens -
Lead/Backing Vocals, Keyboards, Percussion and Harmonica - Tim has
played in many local bands since the age of 17 including a rock band in the 90's
called "Tantrum". He also had a long stint in the popular acoustic band "GoodTimes".
Mike Bruton - Lead/Rhythm Guitar and Lead/Backing Vocals - Mike has played in local bands since he was 19 years old including the rock band "Apathy" in the 90's. Mike also shared a long stint in the popular acoustic band "GoodTimes" with Tim and Chris.
Chris Kowaleski - Bass Guitar and Lead/Backing Vocals - Chris started playing clubs at age 16 and was also a member of the rock band "Tantrum" as well as the acoustic band "GoodTimes".
Bob Sheltra - Drums/Percussions Bob is the most veteran player in the band having years of experience under his belt. He has played in several bands around the US and is now honoring Johnny Bender with his talent.
